I think that this is a great plan. But I would like to see it maybe expand into homes of the locals instead of just homes for Americans or Europeans. Solar is good and I'm glad to see it being put to use.

I think this is a wonderful idea. So many times do people move to places where they ecosystem is fragile and not raelize the harm they are imposing upon it. With these eco-friendly home, the individuals who wish to live in such places will not have to worry about harming the environment, especially from an energy standpoint. However, solar energy aside, perhaps wind power could suffice. The article does state that Costa Rica does not have an abundance of solar energy suppliers, so perhaps they could use wind power instead. For more information on wind power, check out www.windpowersavings.com
I think this is a terrific idea and I hope this plan goes all the way through.
