I was born and brought up in a remote part of Kenya where we light used tire pieces for house illumination. i only saw my electricity light when i was 19years and in college in urban Nairobi. Give us the solar lanterns please the sunlight here is from January to January 12 hrs a day!</description>

		<description>I am South African and am currently looking at solar lanterns for the Sub-Saharan African region. The only reason I have not moved forward is it&#039;s too expensive out of China

		<description>I just thought of a possible alternative to batteries that might just do the trick if implemented properly. I have been building beam robotics circuits for a few years and the beam pummer circuit seems plausible if you can find a large enough capacitor. A pummer circuit charges during the day and activates at night. It is designed to do it&#039;s work for most of the night and automatically shuts off and starts charging during periods of sunlight, reactivating when the light levels drop to a predetermined level. Usually pummer circuits utilize a blinking for flashing LED but I&#039;m sure a freshman in electrical engineering could modify the circuit to work in a constant manner or maybe a faster flash rate that can&#039;t be detected by the human eye.
