A treadle would provide a smoother flow than pedals… you can work them with one foot if necessary.

Nice one ! It is good for Indian use as well. Instead of pedal a up – down movement ( as in stepper exerciser) would have been much better for the user.

One could put a lot of those old Singer sewing machine tables back to work. Simply add a dynamo and controller and charge that laptop…
