I am very happy to find at last a major initiative is being taken by a state that is so rich in the renewable energy resources. I hope others follow too.

I salute Team Nevada for launching this initiative. I recommend that Team Nevada organize programs to help smaller companies infuse applied green literacy and green economic drivers into their business models, plans and projects.

Your state enables smaller companies to raise capital through the Nevada State Registered Offering which is one of the best programs in the United States.

Through developing Green Market Intelligence http://smecapitalmarkets.net/greenresearch.aspx I discovered that very few Green Tech or Clean Tech initiatives focus on helping smaller companies even though small business is the primary source of new job creation.

The Green Market Intelligence list of articles is a free resource to help stakeholders and decision makers identify starting points to begin infusing applied green literacy and green economic drivers into their business models, plans and projects.

Combining Team Nevada's vision with the Nevada State Registered Offering program in a context that helps smaller companies develop green goods and services will create one of the nation’s most dynamic economic development programs. This can bring new businesses to Nevada and help local businesses identify new opportunities. Keep up the good work Team Nevada.

Solar is big in NV! A lot of my customers want to install the problem is the rebates from the power company are limited, and you can only apply for the rebate once a year. It makes it impossible to sell a system when you have to wait a year before the approval for rebates. As a matter of fact the rebates were fully subscribed within the first hour the applications were being accepted. As a solar contractor in the northern half of the state I am discouraged by the recent merger of Sierra Pacific Power and Nevada Power. It seems all the allocations are going to the sothern half of the state. Example: My company submitted 8 applications on Aug 4, the first hour the applications were being accepted and we only received one approval. It would seem to me that all applications would be accepted but thats not the case in NV. I have decided to move the business to CA where all applications are accepted.
