Its a remarkable breakthrough...But the major problem in fuel cell lies in the production and storage of hydrogen right?

Teri... you're right as well... but production of solar glass leaves a HUGE carbon foot print... unfortunately, like with the hybrid cars... even if we all drove them... it's too late and the carbon FP is HUGE from the production of them as well... we need to use everything except coal... and oil... for sure... but we have to do something! and NOW!

It's true @Jeremy... but people are freaked about Nuke power... and it is clean and safe... unfortunately like I said the people... they think Chernobyl and whoops there it is!

The largest natural resource the United States has is land... millions of acres lay vacant and wasted. If we utilized this land as Solar Panel Farms coupled with wind generators, it would be preferable to nuclear plants which pollute our planet.

Wind water, and geothermal are nice, but just aren't nearly as effective as nuclear.

Nuclear plants produce so much energy and cost so much less compared to how many of the other electric plants it would require to produce the same amount of energy.

Also Nuclear energy is clean, with newer nuclear plants they recycle their nuclear waste so it's... Read More nearly 100% clean. And despite popular belief nuclear plants are very safe, France has been powering 90% of their country with nuclear for years and have had no incidents.

It sounds like the technology is there to make a more efficient fuel cell, but if the cost of producing the nanowire makes the fuel cells cost prohibitive for consumer use, it may not see the light of day.
