This is a pre-assembled, pre-wired system. It has two solar arrays and contains all the equipments necessary to tie to the power grid. We can say that this product is a self contained unit. This product can be quickly installed and electrically connected. Instant Solar(TM) (patent pending) is being currently available in U.S.A. and Canada only. People requiring the extent of 2-10kW can go for it. One can use it on flat roof and also as portable applications. They also claim to reduce the installation costs for end users. If one wants Instant Solar, common carrier services can be availed of. We don’t have the same intensity of sunlight at a particular angle all the day. Solar intensity varies with the passage of the day. Instant Solar has flexible solar angles so that they can utilize the sun’s energy to the fullest available at the time. They offer battery back up for off-grid systems. Panels and inverters are pre-wired in all aluminum frames. Instant Solars are ready for easy AC connection.
James Dunn needs no introduction as are as fields of alternative energy, energy storage and hybrid vehicles are concerned. He is educating people about Instant Solar(TM) when he is at various solar and renewable energy conferences and expos. James Dunn also holds the distinction of holding office as past Director of the NASA Northeast Regional Technology Transfer Center. Dan Connors who is the President of Technipower LLC. He put forwards his views as following, “Our installation demonstrated how easily the system can be placed in service at a customer’s site. Instant Solar provides an appealing alternative to solar installers, electrical contractors, building services providers, architects, and energy consultants who are expanding their business into the solar market and want flexibility without complexity. Since our recent announcement and local press coverage, we’ve had a very positive response from a number of industry channels.”
Connors also stated that since his company is also the customer of Instant Solar, they knew the product inside out. This helped them knowing the advantages and loopholes of their products and how to improve its value for the outside customers. They are also planning to install additional solar units at their Danbury headquarters and at their Reynosa, Mexico facility. They assured that they would ship their earliest commercial entity during the last quarter of the current year.
