Instead of waiting for cheaper and more efficient solar panels why not purchase the best available technology today, at the best possible price, and learn to use it efficiently. We're not going to save the planet by waiting for a breakthrough.

I'm not an expert I was just researching about the current solar panels. To power a house is about $36K before rebates, then a Federal tax credit of $8K and then an additional State Tax credit depending on your state. After tax credits you pay about $17K. It's about $2500. per panel and the electrical extras are included in the $36K. not included is the installation and I don't remember if batteries for overnight is included or not. I'm guesstimating to power your house with this new idea would be about $9K before any government credits, that's if there will be any with this new invention. Currently solar is not affordable. And is only at full funtion four of the peak sunlight hours.

About how much will one of these panels cost? I am all for saving natural resources, but I want to be able to afford it.
