This technology would be good if it is placed near mass polluting centers like power plants and industries. I also read an article in this site about converting co2 to fuel using bacteria. clubbing both these if feasible would be absolutely great

Good concept,it is going to open a new dimension of thought process & business opportunity. The costs can be set aside by municipalities, State Govt Etc. The trial should begin from the big cities around the World.

I most definitely believe we will eventually be using many other forms of energy generation systems including the components of air, water, waste and solar. We must explore every and all other possibilities other than controlled exhaustible resources. Our ever increasing knowledge about our Bioshere must be used to develop sustainable energy for infrastructure and transportation in order for us to continue life on earth. Our population increasing exponentially demands alternative approaches not determined solely by profit and immediate gratification

The statement about CO2 being the main culprit in global warming is not exactly correct. I believe water vapor is a much bigger contributor to the retention of heat from the sun than CO2. Here is the website of someone who has done some extensive study on the subject: http://uhaweb.hartford.edu/LGOULD

It's good to know that this carbon capture and storage technology research is already made available. I think its just a matter on improving it. If this technology is successful, then I believe, the world will be a better place to live in...

That is really cool. I'd be very interested to learn more about how you would actually use the carbon for fuel.

Taking carbon dioxide out of the air doesn't seem too difficult but how do you create a fuel source from it?

I feel like this technology is a little bit risky. I'd like to learn more about it though. This is certainly not the solution to our energy needs, but it is an interesting solution to the increase in CO2 levels on Earth.
